Legendary New York DJ, producer, and remixer Junior Vasquez played an important role in the early evolution of the Eightball Records sound during the 1990s. Known worldwide for his powerful DJ sets and groundbreaking remixes, Junior was among the producers who helped shape the label’s connection to the New York underground dance music scene. Throughout the decade, Junior collaborated with Eightball Records on several releases, delivering distinctive remixes that carried his signature club energy. His work for the label includes remixes of “Annihilate” by Ugly Kid Jay, “Dream Drums” by Lectroluv, “Quiet” by Zoel, “Intoxication” by Robert Aaron, “Sky Is The Limit (feat. Jacqueline)”, “Mr Fantasy” by Johnny Hanson, “Mr Meaner (Mis-De-Meaner)”, and “Struck by Love (feat. Alvaughn Jackson)”. Junior also produced the uplifting house record “Lift Me Up” featuring Connie Harvey, further strengthening his creative connection with the Eightball catalog. Through these collaborations, Junior Vasquez contributed to the sound and legacy of Eightball Records during a defining period of New York’s underground house movement.
